Up to date - in August 2010.
The saga of the creation of my dream Les Paul.
The Vision: A Vintage style Lester, with minimal adornment - no neck inlays or anything. I am planning for a (HB sized) P90 in the neck and a PAF humbucker in the bridge. It will be blue.
I am indebted to Neil Morgan of Morgan Guitar Works who has endless patience with my foolish ideas - this isn't a custom build ....
There's some fine examples of his older custom builds here including various Les Paul and Double Cut styles, but he focuses now on his own Bird of Prey V and very closely spec'd vintage Les Paul style guitars rather than bespoke designs.

First get your wood
This is back in May 2010.
I had a fairly short discussion with Neil about wood - decided on lightish figuring and a plain ebony neck with no inlays. This is my wood before work started.
